Nakba - Catastrophe

Lees hier onder oor die foto's. Read below to understand the photographs

Tonight, close to my guest house, was a peaceful demontration of Palestine people. I went to watch the proceedings. Israel celebrated the 60th birthday of the state Israel on 14 May. The Palestines celebrate on May 15 Nakba - Catastrophe - the day, on which their lifes changed for the worse.

From one of the prostestors I received a photograph, which express the agony of the Palestines.

On this motorcycle tour away from the Southern Cross my love and respect for human beings are deepened and intensified, no matter who they are, where they live or what they strive for. I am confronted, more often than expected, with the dreams, agony and pain of people of like you and me.

Tonight I light a candle for all of those people on my tour who opened their souls to me.
