Maandag gaan die reis verder

Vanaand is my laaste aand in Aswan.

Ek sal more aand laat weet waar ek dan is.

Groete!

Tonight is my last night in Aswan.

My plans for the next days are very unclear. I planned to travel north along the Nile. Apparently tourists are not allowed on that route. We have to travel in a convoy and at Luxor turn towards the coast and then from there travel north along the coast.

I look forward to leaving Egypt as soon as possible.

While loading or off-loading my bike the people picked it up by using the side panniers. The result was a broken bracket. Without success I tried to find a welder this afternoon. Back at the hotel the manager called his brother. He came and welded the bracket in the foyer of the hotel! That was a good service!

The Egyptian number plate: One may use a foreign vehicle only after it has been registered in Egypt. Not even for a few days one may drive / ride with a foreign number plate.

I will let know where I am tomorrow night. I don't have the slightest idea how far one will come while travelling in a convoy.

Regards!
