Snert en filosofiese, psigologiese onsin!

(English below)

Vanoggend was daar 'n oproep vir my.

Hy bevestig dat my visum afgekeur is. Sy woorde: It is rubbish, it is philosophical and psychological rubbish!

It is our right to deny a visa without giving any reasons.

So pas was hier 'n koerier by die kantoor.

I am not going to mention the name of the country because I still have to get a visa for that country.

This morning I had a call. The unmentioned country rejected my visa application.

I called the embassy and spoke to a gent who refused to give me his name. He confirmed that my application was rejected. He didn't believe me that one could travel on a motorcycle from South Africa to Europe! His words: It is rubbish, it is philosophical and psychological rubbish!

The only thing I could do was to laugh. If I only could have recorded our conversation!

I refused to accept it. That irritated him even more. It is our right to deny a visa without giving any reasons.

There is thus still a little problem to solve. When that is over I will tell you which country it was.

Everything in life is a game between action and reaction. Shortly after the highly unpleasant telephone call I received an email from Mariana (van Jaarsveld). She was one of my pupils in the German class many years back. Her email brightened up my day and let me realize that also this visa problem will be tackled and solved. Mariana, thank you so much for the email! I do appreciate it!

A few seconds ago a courier was at our office. He brought me the Carnet de Passage!! That was the second last hurdle to cross!
