Nog 'n regmerkie, een minder om te gaan

Ek het vandag by die bank die Amerikaanse dollar gekry wat ek bestel het, presies in klein note soos ek gevra het.

 

Nog 'n reëling kry nou 'n regmerkie agterna. Een minder bekommernis.

 

Ek het vanoggend van Ray Muller (Tours for Africa www.toursforafrica.co.za) 'n paar blaaie met Afrika-toer-waarhede ontvang. Ek gaan so nou en dan een van die waarhede met julle deel.

 

• There are no guarantees in Africa. It doesn't matter how efficiently or effectively we have organized and with whom, things will not/if/but/when/will inevitably go wrong.

Geestelike voorbereiding: As die dinge nie reg loop nie, so what? Die hemel is steeds blou, water loop steeds afdraende, gaan en vind die oplossing vir die probeem.

Today I received the American dollars from the bank as I ordered it, small values, the right numbers.

 

Now I can put a tick after another "To do". One worry less.

 

This morning I received from Ray Muller (Tours for Africa www.toursforafrica.co.za) a few files that will help me with my preparation. A few things struck me, and I would like to share some of them with you over the last few weeks.

 

• There are no guarantees in Africa. It doesn't matter how efficiently or effectively we have organized and with whom, things will not/if/but/when/will inevitably go wrong.

Mental preparation: If things go wrong, so what? The sky is still blue, water still runs downhill, just go and find the solution for the problem!
