Botswana - Francistown

As I woke up before sunrise and I heard the kingfisher in the trees and the singing and hand clapping of women in the distance I knew my trip into Africa has really started.

As internet is expensive (30 Pula for 30 minutes) I am going to write more in Kasane tonight. Doing the whole report on the laptop and then just sending off at an internet cafe would make more sense.

Ek ruil my lasste Rand vir Pula.

I was very tired. I din't concentrate and then hit as massive pothole. I first had to stop to check for any damages.

A coke helped to keep me awake.

The Shashe river 30 km before Francistown. I haven't seen so much water here before.

Ek begin sommer dadelik my noodrantsoen eet om my fiets ligter te kry.

I started off with my "emergency food" to get my bike lighter.

Ek MOET my fiets ligter kry!

I am going to start packing my bike now to start the long trek towards Kasane. I have to get my bike lighter!
